"AMERICAN WEREWOLF" Remake Planned
A remake of the horror/dark comedy 1981 classic "AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON" is in the works it seems.Bloody Disgusting reports that the original film's writer/director John Landis has apparently sold off remake rights to the property to Dimension Films, who want to surf on the "TWILIGHT" vague.
The original followed two American tourists in England are attacked by a werewolf that none of the locals will admit exists.
A poorly received sequel, "AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN PARIS", opened in 1997 to poor reviews and box-office.
