Doc on Horror/Comedy Selected for Dragoncon Film Festival

"CANNES DO," a comedic documentary about the horror-comedy feature "So, You've Downloaded A Demon" has been chosen as an official selection for the 2006 DragonCon Film Festival. The movie chronicles the efforts of writer/director Todd Livingston, and producer Ken Meyer as they premiere and market the low-budget movie at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival.

DragonCon is America's largest, multi-media, popular arts convention focusing on science fiction and fantasy, gaming, comics, literature, art, music, and film. The event takes place September 1st - 4th, 2006 in Atlanta.

"I screened "So, You've Downloaded A Demon" at DragonCon, so having "Cannes Do" in the festival this year is particularly exciting! The audience there just rocks - they're the best crowd of genre fans I've ever seen" says Livingston. The hour-long documentary "Cannes Do" is written & directed by award-winning TV commercial producer/director Steven Tobenkin.

A working television writer & producer, Livingston is best known to comics fans as a writer of horror graphic novels such as THE BLACK FOREST and THE WICKED WEST (co-authored with Eisner nominee Robert Tinnell and drawn by Neil Vokes) and currently the popular comedy webcomic AMERICA JR, co-written with Nick Capetanakis, (Livingston's partner on "So, You've Downloaded A Demon") and illustrated by Brendon & Brian Fraim ("Wolf Boy"). The critically acclaimed comic strip can be read at www.americajr.net and is updated daily.
