[DVD NEWS] - "THE SEVERED HEAD NETWORK" and "SAVAGE HARVEST 2: OCTOBER BLOOD"

DVD NEWS - THE SEVERED HEAD NETWORK and SAVAGE HARVEST 2 OCTOBER BLOOD Something wicked is coming this summer, as Elite Entertainment presents two titles from independent film company Wicked Pixel Cinema: “The Severed Head Network”—a compilation of eight bizarre, disturbing short films—and the feature film “Savage Harvest 2: October Blood”—the long-awaited sequel to “Savage Harvest”—directed by Emmy-award winner Jason Christ. These latest titles from Elite Entertainment's line of truly independent horror films will be available on August 14th. “The Severed Head Network” will carry a suggested retail price of $9.98; “Savage Harvest 2: October Blood” will be available for $14.98.

“These two titles illustrate what horror film creatives can do with a lot of ingenuity and talent, and a very, very little bit of money,” said Eric Stanze, President, Wicked Pixel Cinema. “Elite Entertainment has proven, time and time again, that they are the voice of the true independent filmmaker, as they have had tremendous success getting such titles into the marketplace.”

Taking short-form content to a horrific, bizarre level, these eight stories feature work from some of the country's most controversial cult filmmakers. Included are: “Faith in Nothing,” a fever-dream of eroticism and haunting beauty; “Vomire,” a sucker-punch of expressionistic imagery about angels, sex and meat; and “Satisfaction,” a notorious tale that explores the intense relationship between an abused woman and her one-night stand.

Bonus features include: two “Intro Videos” by director Eric Stanze; four behind-the-scenes featurettes; stills galleries; and trailers.

"SAVAGE HARVEST 2: OCTOBER BLOOD"
When Tyge Murdock (Benjamin Gaa), a successful director of low-budget horror films, returns to his hometown to reassess his life after a gruesome accident on the set of his latest film, all new nightmares await him. He crosses paths with former high school sweetheart Ashley Lomack (Emily Haack), who 10 years earlier vanished from his life after a gruesome mass murder. Consumed by rumors of demonic possession surrounding the murders, Tyge finds himself trapped in a deadly chain of events that lead to another night of terror and carnage.

Bonus features include: behind-the-scenes documentary; three short films; three commentary tracks; deleted scenes; outtake reel; stills montage; and trailers.
