Walton Goggins Fighting "PREDATORS" ?

Things have quietly been moving forward on Robert Rodriguez's "PREDATORS" with Nimrod Antal directing. Although 20th Century Fox has already set a release date for July 7, 2010, there hasn't been much casting news except for the ubiquitous Danny Trejo as someone named "Cuchillo." That is, until now.

ComingSoon.net has heard word that one of Rodriguez's cast will be none other than Walton Goggins, star of the FX series "THE SHIELD".

Unfortunately, we do not have any information yet on which role he might be playing, but we'll update the story as we receive confirmation. Either way, we can probably except there to be a lot more cast announced for the anticipated reboot in the coming weeks.

Synopsis : Royce, a mercenary, reluctantly leads a group of elite warriors who come to realize they've been brought together on an alien planet… as prey.
With the exception of a disgraced physician, they are all cold-blooded killers – mercenaries, Yakuza, convicts, death squad members – human "predators" that are now being systemically hunted and eliminated by a new breed of alien Predators.
