Production to Begin on "THE AMITYVILLE HORROR : THE LOST TAPES"
ShockTillYouDrop.com is reporting that Dimension Films and Miramax are partnering to produce "THE AMITYVILLE HORROR: THE LOST TAPES".Filming will begin this summer and it is expected to hit theaters in January 27, 2012.
Dimension also announced that it has acquired the rights to a new screenplay for the film by Casey La Scala and Daniel Farrands ("NEVER SLEEP AGAIN", "HALLOWEEN 6"). Farrands and La Scala are also set to direct the film.
Synopsis : The film follows Belle (Bella Thorne) and her family after they move into their new home, but when strange phenomena begin to occur in the house, Belle begins to suspect her mother (Jennifer Jason Leigh) isn’t telling her everything. She soon realizes they just moved into the infamous Amityville house where between illusion and reality lies evil.
