"TWILIGHT" actress Kristen Stewart is apparently being pursued for the lead female role in the "WANTED" sequel for Universal Pictures reports E! Online.

Both the studio and director Timur Bekmambetov are interested in Stewart playing a new assassin in the Fraternity and have met at least once with the actress. but no offer has been made. James McAvoy is still slated to return in the lead role but Angelina Jolie seemingly departed the project the other month.

As of now though the whole film remains only a "slim possibility". Stewart's "BREAKING DAWN" commitments may rule her out of the running if the studio wants to get moving on this follow-up. Yet even Bekmambetov himself is already looking into other projects.
