In January 28th Warner Bros. will release "THE RITE", Mikael Hafstrom's "true story" spin on the subgenre that stars Anthony Hopkins, Alice Braga, Ciaran Hinds, Rutger Hauer, Toby Jones and Franco Nero. The film follows skeptical seminary student Michael Kovak (O'Donoghue), who reluctantly attends exorcism school at the Vatican. While in Rome, he meets an unorthodox priest, Father Lucas (Hopkins), who introduces him to the darker side of his faith.
Synopsis : The story is centered on a parish priest in San Jose, Calif., asked by his bishop to travel to Rome for training in the rite of exorcism at a Vatican-affiliated university. He eventually performed more than 80 exorcisms.
