Interview with Ced - June 2004

I can't answer to such a question, many movies built my fantastic culture up : the Hammer movies, "EVIL DEAD", "ALIEN", "HELLRAISER", "BRAINDEAD", "RE-ANIMATOR", "THE EXORCIST", "THE THING", "KILLER KLOWNS FROM OUTER SPACE"... All these movies contributed to my craze for that genre, be it for the special effects, the direction, gore, not taking a film at face value, the acting, the scenario, the talent of its director.

Generally speaking, I hate sequels (like "HALLOWEEN", "HELLRAISER", "THE HOWLING".) which, in most cases, are of a much lower level or of an absolute nullity. The last movie I rented and thought was bad : "FAUST" by Brian Yuzna. Being a fan of Tim Vigil's comic books from which the movie is inspired, the movie is a disaster concerning the mood of the comic.

I like a lot the universe and the directors that follow : Tim Burton, Peter Jackson and let's not forget about Terence Fischer, the master of art of the British firm Hammer Films.

Christopher Lee because he has a spooky class !!! Jack Nicholson because he incarnates madness better than anybody else.

When I was a kid, a television film called "THE TRIANGLE OF THE DEVIL" scared me a lot.

Liking rock n' roll, I like a lot the universe and sound of The Cramps.

Like the other guys of the BANANE METALIK, I love Danny Elfman's musics ("BEETLEJUICE", "THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS"...). I also like a lot "HALLOWEEN"'s intro.

The old Hammer posters, "TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE", "EVIL DEAD", "SHINING", "BRAINDEAD"...

Let them prove who's the best.
