Tim Burton Confirmed For "MONSTERPOCALYPSE"
Film producer Roy Lee has confirmed that Tim Burton is set to direct the board game to film adaptation "MONSTERPOCALYPSE" for Dreamworks Pictures reports Slashfilm."I can confirm that Tim Burton is developing it to direct. He's working closely with John August on story" Lee told the site. Lee also confirmed they plan to shoot the movie in full 3D and are fast tracking the project for a 2012 release.
The story involves giant skyscraper sized monsters who attack earth. When the humans fight back, the monsters burrow underground to wait for their kind whom they have sent a signal to.
Humanity knows more are coming, and so build giant robots that will fight the monsters if and when they return.
Game creator Matt Wilson will serve as co-producer on the film.
