New ZOMBIE FILM unleasged out of Washington, DC, Baltimore Area.
WETNWILDRADIO Films wrapped principal photography on thier Zombie Epic DEADLANDS:The Rising in June of 2006. A 14 month weekend only here and there production has been making it\'s rounds on the FESTIVAL CIRCUIT. As of 09/02/06 the film nabbed BEST ZOMBIE MOVIE honors at the 2006 Fright Night Film Festival in Louisville, Ky On the review circuit, sites such as DEADPIT.COM, HORROR-MOVIES.CA and Homepageofthedead.com have given the film great reviews.DEADLANDS is far from your normal run of the mill low budget zombie film. Shot on MiniDV the film is very epic in scope, including a 100+ car traffic Jam which is wiped out by zombies. Director Gary Ugarek was very vocal when production started that this film be shot just like a normal hollywood production would be shot, making use of dollies, cranes, and steadi-cam units whenever possible... not too mention shot using three different MiniDV cameras to obtain a certain look and feel to the film. The cameras were CANON GL1, PANASONIC DVX100, and SONY VX2000.
