"POLTERGIEST" Remake Coming Nov. 24, 2010!
ShockTillYouDrop.com reports that MGM's planned remake of Tobe Hooper's classic '80s haunted house movie "POLTERGEIST" has received a release date of November 24, 2010, Thanksgiving weekend.Vadim Perelman ("HOUSE OF SAND AND FOG") has been attached to direct since last September.
The original was produced and co-written by Steven Spielberg. Two sequels were produced.
Synopsis : Legendary filmmaker Sam Raimi and director Gil Kenan reimagine and contemporize the classic tale about a family whose suburban home is invaded by angry spirits. When the terrifying apparitions escalate their attacks and take the youngest daughter, the family must come together to rescue her.
