Survival News Release
Hello. The producers of Survival (www.survivalmovie.com) just wanted to share with your readers that casting for the film is now complete. And with a little over one month left until principal photography begins we have been hard at work finalizing the budget and securing the last of the locations to be utilized in the movie.Our cast consists of many indie picture veterans and some fresh new faces, including Don Prentiss (Doomed To Consume, The Ancient), Ian C. King (fresh off his work on Poultrygeist), Vanelle (The Cutting Room), Vic Aviles (Buy Sell Kill), and Matt McClure (televisions Everwood and Veronica Mars, as well as the upcoming Paul Walker starring The Life And Death of Bobby Z).
The team behind the production includes writer/director Joe Francis, co-writer/producer Kevin Woods (Buy Sell Kill, Wiseguys Vs. Zombies), DP Joe Hamann (Ralph Singleton's The Mill), with special effects provided by Savini School graduate Ricky Lee (fresh off his work with TOETAG Pictures, Speedfreak Productions, Compound Pictures, and DSK Productions features).
The Survival website underwent a complete makeover this weekend, with a fresh layout and new stills and production journals. It can be found at www.survivalmovie.com. We also invite MySpace users to add us at www.myspace.com/survivalmovie.
The producers of Survival will also be hosting a contest for people to submit artwork for potential use on the official posters and marketing materials. Details are on the website.
Survival begins production on June 2, 2006.
