It's a slasher titled The Dinner, and it tells the story of five friends, Bea, Sara, Fabrizio, Lory and Pietro travelling together on a summer holiday trip, in search of a little vacation. But they'll only find a climax of horror: lost in a creepy and – apparently – desolate house, they'll experience every sort of pain, descending into a spiral of secrets held by the morbid family who lives there. Inspired by true stories, The Dinner is bound to terrorize horror fans with its gruesome scenes and its compelling storyline, completely and accurately exploring the deepest among human taboos: cannibalism. Forget Hostel, Saw and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: not even an all-time b-movies classic such as Ruggero Deodato's Cannibal Holocaust could match what Italian director Stefano Pivelli is doing with The Dinner.
