Jamie Blackley is Calisto
Deadline reports that Jamie Blackley will be joining Sullivan Stapleton as the co-lead to the cast for Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures' "300: BATTLE OF ARTEMISIA", the prequel to Zack Snyder's "300" directed by Noam Murro.Having just wrapped a supporting role in "SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN" and the lead in Andrew Douglas' internet thriller "UWANTME2KILLHIM?" (produced by Bryan Singer), Blackley will play 16-year-old Calisto inspired by his soldier father to lead a band of soldiers to war.
Synopsis : Based on Frank Miller's upcoming graphic novel "Xerxes" and told in the breathtaking visual style of the blockbuster 300, this new chapter of the epic saga takes the action to a fresh battlefield—on the sea—as Greek general Themistokles (Sullivan Stapleton) attempts to unite all of Greece by leading the charge that will change the course of the war. 300: Rise of an Empire pits Themistokles against the massive invading Persian forces led by mortal-turned-god Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro), and Artemesia (Eva Green), vengeful commander of the Persian navy.
