Johnny Depp Joins Kevin Smith's Tusk
A surprise cast member of Kevin Smith's upcoming "TUSK" has been revealed. Actor Justin Long, speak to Newsday (via The Wrap) brings word that Johnny Depp has a role in the offbeat horror tale. Although unconfirmed, it is being speculated that Depp's role is that of Guy Lapointe, a French-Canadian detective."TUSK" follows Wallace, a journalist on a mission. He finds the story of a lifetime in Mr. Howe (Michael Parks), a worldwide adventurer with amazing tales and a curious penchant for walruses.
"TUSK" also stars Genesis Rodriguez and Haley Joel Osment. The modern-day monster movie was also written by Smith. Sam Englebardt, David Greathouse and Shannon McIntosh are producing the film which is expected to land in theaters this fall through A24 and Demarest Films.
Synopsis : When his best friend and podcast co-host goes missing in the backwoods of Canada, a young guy joins forces with his friend's girlfriend to search for him.
