"DEATH RACE" Prequel Revs Up
A prequel to last year's generally pointless "DEATH RACE" remake is in the works at Impact Pictures reports Shock Til You Drop.Tony Giglio ("TIMBER FALLS") has been hired to pen a script set before the events of the first film and explores how the deadly prison race got started
In the first film Jason Statham played a wrongly imprisoned racing champion who competes in several televised brutal prison races to win his freedom.
As the story is a prequel, the characters played by Ian McShane and Joan Allen could return while the original 'Frankenstein', whom Statham's character impersonates, could be the major character which he was in Paul Bartel's original 1975 cult classic "DEATH RACE 2000".
The first film's director, Paul W.S Anderson, will also oversee development of the script.

Sweet baby James. Bring on the next Death Race and Fast !! Weapons, Death, Kickbutt Cars and Hot Chicks. If they only could add Karate and Vampires, then I could die a happy geek :D
