Christian Slater in Horror Thriller "PLAYBACK"
Variety says Christian Slater will star in the independent horror thriller "PLAYBACK" as a sinister cop who is pivotal in exposing a small town's deepest, darkest secret.John M. Bennett and Lawrence Robbins are producing under their Bennett Robbins Productions banner.
The trade says the story is triggered by high school students digging into their town's infamous past and unwittingly unlocking an evil that preys upon their classmates.
The Michael A. Nickles-directed film, now shooting in Grand Rapids, Michigan, also stars Johnny Pacar, Toby Hemingway, Jonathan Keltz, Alessandra Torresani, Ambyr Childers and Daryl "Chill" Mitchell.
