Jerry O'Connell Joins "PIRANHA 3D" Cast
Entertainment Weekly has learned that Jerry O'Connell has joined the cast of The Weinstein Company's "PIRANHA 3-D". Directed by Alexandre Aja, the action-thriller co-stars Elisabeth Shue, Adam Scott, Ving Rhames, Richard Dreyfuss and Jessica Szohr.
In the film, a sudden underwater tremor sets free scores of the prehistoric man-eating fish in Lake Victoria and an unlikely group of strangers must band together to stop themselves from becoming fish food for the area's new razor-toothed residents. But our heroine (Shue) is seriously outnumbered, and with only one chance to save the lake and her family from totally being devoured, she must risk everything to destroy the aquatic carnivores herself.
Shooting starts next Monday at Lake Havasu, Arizona for a March 19, 2010 release.
