New "PONTYPOOL" Poster
This is the Canadian poster for the film, but hopefully when IFC Entertainment distributes "PONTYPOOL" on May 29th they'll use a similar design cause man, that is eye-catching!The poster comes courtesy of IMP Awards; the film will be distributed by Maple Pictures in the Great White North sometime this spring. For those who haven't been following along, "PONTYPOOL" is the story of an outbreak of violence and brutality that is spread through actual human language so the only option, as the poster says, is to shut up or die!
The film is based on the novel Pontypool Changes Everything.
Synopsis : The film is set in a radio station in Pontypool, a small village in Ontario, Canada, where one day the morning team starts taking reports of extreme, bloody incidents of violence occurring in town. As the story unfolds, the radio staff soon realizes the violence that is ripping society apart is due to a virus being spread through the English language. That in turn poses a problem for a yappy radio jock and his staff holed up in the broadcast booth housed in the basement of the town's abandoned church as a slaughter rages beyond its walls.
