SMIHFF 2010, first wave of titles
The Sainte Maxime International Horror Film Festival is a semestrial festival of the best new Sci-Fi, Horror, Fantasy, Thriller and genre films, as well as a choice of classic and obscure cult titles from all over the world. SMIHFF was created to offer exposure to genre films which are often overlooked by the traditional festival circuit.The 3rd Sainte Maxime International Horror Film Festival will take place on Saturday, May the 22nd, 2010, in Sainte Maxime near Saint Tropez (almost 10 minutes) and Cannes, France.
Recent Sainte Maxime International Horror Film Festival films that have garnered a lot of attention include Richard Kelly's "THE BOX", "SAW 6", Tom Six's "THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE", Dario Argento's "GIALLO", Joe Dante's "TRAILERS FROM HELL", Uwe Boll's "STOIC", Yoshihiro Nishimura's "VAMPIRE GIRL VS FRANKENSTEIN GIRL", Nick Palumbo's "MURDER SET PIECES", Pascal Laugier's "MARTYRS", "TOKYO GORE POLICE", Noboru Iguchi's "THE MACHINE GIRL", "HIGH LANE" ("VERTIGE"), "JACK BROOKS: MONSTER SLAYER", which is now enjoying a wide release and taking the horror community by storm.
This 3rd edition will be a special marathon of horror (horrorthon). "THE CRAZIES", "AMER", "A SERBIAN FILM" are in selection. 2 other titles will be announced soon.
Sergio Martino (Itaiian Filmmaker) is the guest of honor and a special screening of "TORSO" will be proposed during the night
