Bryce Dallas Howard replaces Rachelle Lefevre In "TWILIGHT ECLIPSE"
Bryce Dallas Howard will replace Rachelle Lefevre in the role of Victoria for "THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE", the third film in the series directed by David Slade ("30 DAYS OF NIGHT").The change is officially said to be due to scheduling conflicts for the indie drama "BARNEY'S VERSION" to which Lefevre was committed. The character was a minor one of the three villains of the first "TWILIGHT" film but figures prominently as the chief antagonist of 'Eclipse'.
Not long after the news first hit though, back and forth statements came from both Lefevre and the studio about the decision. The actress says she "was fully committed to the Twilight saga... My commitment to Barney's Version is only 10 days. Summit picked up my option for Eclipse. Although the production schedule for Eclipse is over three months long, Summit said they had a conflict during those 10 days and would not accommodate me... I was happy with my contract with Summit and was fully prepared to continue to honor it. Summit chose simply to recast the part...I am hurt deeply by Summit's surprising decision to move on without me."
Soon after the studio released a statement saying they first heard of her commitment to 'Version' about a week ago, and "are disappointed by Rachelle Lefevre's recent comments which attempt to make her career choices the fault of the studio... We feel that her choice to withhold her scheduling conflict information from us can be viewed as a lack of cooperative spirit which affected the entire production."

Summit does a bad job at making excuses for firing people, lol. *hint/hint* Catherine Harwicke --although i hated her so i dont really mind, but Rachelle Lafevre is a good Victoria ;; i have like the worst memory ever so having to memorize a new face as a character i already know, is pretty inconvenient & annoying.. blah blah blah.. i wish Solomon Trimble & Krys Hyatt werent changed either.. Robert Pattinson`s the best thing to happen to Summit, i wonder what would happen if he totallyy jus QUITS! haha, i kno i kno.. contracts & crap but damn, theyre pretty cut throat about recasting - Taylor Lautner was luckyy to have been able to keep his role.. whats next? Kristen Stewart? I hope not, but then again, this is summit & theyre pretty dumb so who knowz...
