Michael Sheen Up For "DARK SHADOWS" Role
Michael Sheen ("UNDERWORLD", "TRON LEGACY") is in early discussions for a supporting role in Tim Burton's "DARK SHADOWS" reports The Playlist.At present it's not clear whom he might play in this adaptation of the 60's gothic soap opera, however there's "definite mutual interest going on between the actor and director" though no negotiations have begun yet.
Sheen voiced the White Rabbit in Burton's "ALICE IN WONDERLAND" and earlier this week was cast to provide a voiceover for the upcoming Neil Gaiman-penned episode of "DOCTOR WHO" airing in early May.
If he signs onto 'Shadows', he would join a cast that includes Johnny Depp, Jackie Earle Haley, Eva Green, Bella Heathcote, Michelle Pfeiffer and Helena Bonham Carter. Shooting kicks off next month.
Synopsis : In the year 1752 Joshua and Naomi Collins, with young son Barnabas, set sail from Liverpool, England, to start a new life in America. But even an ocean was not enough to escape the mysterious curse that has plagued their family. Two decades pass, and Barnabas (Johnny Depp) has the world at his feet — or at least the town of Collinsport, Maine. The master of Collinwood Manor, Barnabas is rich, powerful and an inveterate playboy…until he makes the grave mistake of breaking the heart of Angelique Brouchard (Eva Green). A witch, in every sense of the word, Angelique dooms him to a fate worse than death: turning him into a vampire and then burying him alive.
