New Photos From "THOR" Debuts

The Los Angeles Times debuted this new photo from Marvel Studios' "THOR" featuring Chris Hemsworth in the title role kneeling before Odin (Anthony Hopkins) as Loki (Tom Hiddleston) left, Frigga (Rene Russo), Hogun (Tadanobu Asano) and Fandral (Josh Dallas) look on.

Moreover, Paramount Pictures and Marvel Studios have released the Comic-Con posters and a new photo.

Opening in 3D and 2D theaters on May 6, 2011, the Kenneth Branagh-directed fantasy action adventure also stars Natalie Portman, Stellan Skarsgard, Jaimie Alexander, Kat Dennings, Ray Stevenson, Idris Elba, Clark Gregg and Colm Feore.

Synopsis : Thor spans the Marvel Universe from present day Earth to the realm of Asgard. At the center of the story is the mighty Thor, a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. Thor is cast down to Earth by his father Odin and is forced to live among humans. A beautiful, young scientist, Jane Foster (Portman), has a profound effect on Thor, as she ultimately becomes his first love. It's while here on Earth that Thor learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth.
