CASTING
Two More for "THE DARK KNIGHT RISES"
Two more have been added to the cast of Christopher Nolan's "THE DARK KNIGHT RISES". Variety reports that Brett Cullen and Chris Ellis have signed on for the film as a judge and a priest, respectively.Cullen is best known for appearances in films like "APOLLO 13" and, in a very different comic book universe, "GHOST RIDER", where he played Barton Blaze, father to Nicolas Cage's Johnny Blaze.
Ellis, meanwhile, is also known for a part in "APOLLO 13" and other character roles in films like "TRANSFORMERS", "ARMAGEDDON" and "CATCH ME IF YOU CAN".
"THE DARK KNIGHT RISES" is now in production internationally and features the return of Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman and Nestor Carbonell, along with roles for Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard, Juno Temple, Josh Pence, Daniel Sunjata, Matthew Modine, Tom Conti, Joey King, Alon Aboutboul, Burn Gorman and Diego Klattenhoff.
It is set for release on July 20, 2012.
Synopsis : Despite his tarnished reputation after the events of The Dark Knight, in which he took the rap for Dent's crimes, Batman feels compelled to intervene to assist the city and its police force which is struggling to cope with Bane's plans to destroy the city.
